Size does matter.

You may have heard that size doesn't matter, but when choosing how large to get your photographs printed, size definitely does matter.  You know the old saying, "Go big or go home".  I always say it's better to go bigger then smaller when deciding what size to order for your photo prints.  People often think they are going to get a big print and decide on an 8x10". An 8x10" print on a big wall is really, really small.  A big wall will not only make the print look tiny, but you'll lose a lot of detail of the photograph in such a small print.  In a larger print you get see the detail of each person in the photograph and any scenery.  Most importantly the photograph suddenly becomes a piece of art, not just another picture on the wall.

Yes, it does cost more to get a larger print, but the cost is well worth the impact it will have, the details that can be seen, and the art that will hang on your walls for year to come.  I've attached an image that shows the difference in sizes.  It's amazing just how small a 5x7 and an 8x10 really are.  Next time you are ready to have a cherished photograph printed take a look at these comparisons before deciding on size, because size really does matter!
